What We Do

One lab for the whole restorative side of the case

Spectrum Killian is a dental laboratory. We don't sell implants — we restore them, and BioHorizons is a system we work in every day. That means the scan body is matched before you scan, the CAD library is already installed, and the case comes back engineered to seat rather than adjusted to fit.

Dental Laboratory

Spectrum Killian

One of the fastest-growing dental laboratories in the country, Spectrum Killian pairs master craftsmanship with modern digital workflows. From custom abutments to full-arch restorations, their team is known for precision fit, fast turnaround, and a level of clinical support that treats every case as its own problem to solve.

The System We Restore

BioHorizons

BioHorizons started in 1994 as research out of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and shipped its first implant — the Maestro external hex — in 1997. It still designs and manufactures in Birmingham, Alabama, and now sells in more than 90 markets. For a lab, the useful part is the prosthetic side: most of the portfolio runs on one color-coded internal hex connection, which keeps component matching unusually clean.

Why It Matters

Built for the way modern practices work

Everything the restorative side of an implant case needs — scan body matching, restoration, and support — handled by one lab.

🦷

We Restore This System Daily

Spectrum Killian holds the BioHorizons CAD libraries and works in the system every day — so every titanium base, custom abutment, and full-arch prosthesis is designed against the real connection geometry rather than a generic approximation.

🧩

The Right Scan Body, Before You Scan

Our scan body tool covers all 15 BioHorizons implant lines and 41 line-platform combinations, each linked to its OEM part number and product page. Where the catalog lists no part, it says so plainly instead of guessing — a wrong scan body is a remake.

🔬

Connections We Keep Straight

BioHorizons runs internal hex, conical, and external hex connections side by side, and some of the names are one word apart — Tapered Pro is internal hex, Tapered Pro Conical isn't. We treat them as separate families, because a mapped-over platform is a clinically wrong part.

📐

Full Arch Without the Jig

We take photogrammetry cases from both iCAM and MicronMapper, merge them with your intraoral tissue scan, and build to a passive fit — so the verification jig stops being a required step.
